Our Story
Since 2013, we have been creating places with character and soul
It all started in 2013 with a vision: to create hotels that are different. No interchangeable chain hotels, no sterile perfection. But places with character where guests feel comfortable just the way they are.
Founder Niels Battenfeld opened the first beach hotel in St. Peter-Ording. With great attention to detail and a team that lives hospitality, not just practices it. Success proved him right: guests came, felt comfortable - and came back.
Today, the Lieblingsplatz Hotels family includes eight unique properties in the most beautiful locations in Northern Germany and Austria. Each hotel has its own character, but all share the same values: authenticity, warmth, and a real home-away-from-home feeling.
