Grömitz is one of the oldest seaside resorts in Schleswig-Holstein — for over 200 years, people have been coming here, and you quickly understand why.
Long sandy beach, two piers, a lively promenade with cafés, fish stalls, and ice cream parlors. A place with genuine Baltic flair that doesn’t sleep even in the off-season.

The Wannerhus is located directly behind the dike, just a few steps from the beach and the promenade — quiet enough for sleeping, close enough to everything Grömitz has to offer. The house has a history, and you can feel it: it has been gently refreshed without losing its character. The rooms have their own style — natural materials, a touch of greenery, a warmth that cannot simply be arranged.

Breakfast is served daily next door at the Lieblingsplatz Hotel Seedeich — with a rich buffet, freshly prepared every morning. Reception and contact persons are also located there.
For a sauna session: The outdoor sauna cube with sea view at the Surf Rescue Club on the spa promenade is also available for Wannerhus guests to book.

From Grömitz, the eastern Lübeck Bay can be wonderfully explored — cycling paths along the coast, day trips to Lübeck, Kellenhusen, or the island of Fehmarn. Or you can simply stay, go to the beach in the morning, and stroll along the promenade in the evening. That’s also a good plan.
